USA Day 2 - Universal Studio Hollywood (B)

Continuation from USA Day 2 - Universal Studio Hollywood (A)…

The first ride that we went for was Jurassic Park: The Ride, a river-raft ride through a dinosaur-infested jungle. You'll want to wear your rain poncho for the 85-foot plunge finale to escape from the ferocious T-Rex! Look at us, totally drenched!!

Photo ops with characters from Revenge of the Mummy

Entrance to Revenge of the Mummy, an indoor roller coaster which races through the dark at 45 mph past exploding fireballs, raging mummy warriors and swarming beetles with sudden launch, forwards and backwards motion. Warning: This is a super exciting ride!! Not for the faint hearted. Free locker is available to riders to store their belonging for the duration of the ride.

Photo ops with Bumblebee Autobot

Entrance to Transformers: The Ride, a motion simulator ride consists of vehicle-mounted motion platforms and super-size 3D projections of various Transformers characters. We entered a vehicle and found ourselves in the middle of the war zone with Optimus as the Autobots attempt to protect the AllSpark from the Decepticons.

And it’s lunch time!... at Panda Express, a Chinese fast food chain serving Asian cuisine in a food court environment. Delicious Chinese food at affordable prices. Like!

Entrance to The Simpsons Ride, a motion simulator ride with a film projected on an 80-foot-wide domed screen brings you on a six-minute wild tour of Krusty the Clown's condemned amusement park. We arrived at a good timing and photo ops with the Simpsons family.

Jaws shark

Cute doggie at the Animal Actors Show

Walking Deads coming to Halloween Horror Nights, the annual Halloween event held at USH. So gory!

Entrance to Waterworld show. We missed the show by 5 mins, argh!!

Entrance to The Adventures of Curious George, a wild play area for kids

Entrance to Shrek 4D, a special effects laden 4D film where you gallop with Shrek and Donkey through a haunted forest, ride a fire-breathing dragon and plunge over a waterfall to rescue a kidnapped Princess Fiona.

Souvenir shops within USH. I bought a penny album to store/display all the souvenir pennies that I made; nice!

Strolled through CityWalk, a pedestrian shopping and entertainment zone next to USH…

And we went for dinner at Wolfgang Puck Bistro. Food was really good and in generous portion. Highly recommended.

Back to Hollywood Blvd and as the night was still young, we bought tickets to watch Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas at El Capitan Theatre.

Live pre-show piano performance on stage and the theatre was decorated in a theme to match the movie.
