It is located on the 10th floor of the ESTA commercial complex which is located in front of Sapporo Station. Home to Hokkaido’s most famous ramen shops, visitors can have the opportunity to enjoy delicious ramen at a variety of shops here.

The Republic consists of eight shops which are actually branches of already famous and successful companies. They came together as a "Republic" (i.e. a representative of the main shop sent to a gathering) to sell ramen in one shared common space. Somewhat like a food court concept really.
An early postwar Sapporo town has been reproduced to create a retro atmosphere, with a steam locomotive, wooden station building, shrines, etc.
Dinner at our own expenses for today. We tried shio ramen (ramen with salt flavor) and pan fried Japanese dumpling at Ajisai shop. Delicious!
