Shiroi Koibito Park is a amusement / theme park opened by Ishiya, a local chocolate company.
In this wonderland, you can find:
- Ishiya Chocolate Factory where you can observe the production process of Shiroi Koibito (“White Lovers”) cookie, which consists of two thin butter cookies and a layer of white chocolate in between. Entrance fee of 600 Yen for adult.
- Cookiecraft studio where you can try your hand at making cookies.
- Tudor House, which is a reminiscent of Medieval England
- Private training ground of Consadole Sapporo, Hokkaido's professional soccer team.
- Toy museum
- Cafes, restaurants, shops, etc.
Heroic efforts by chocolate makers to support the leaning tower of their chocolate factory. So cute! Made me think of Willy Wonker's Chocolate Factory, hahaha...
A little steam train which circles around the park area.
Tudor-style buildings that house Ishiya Chocolate Factory, cafes, restaurants, shops, etc.
We arrived just in time for the hourly chime from the clock tower that brought the whole park to live with music and entertainment by the animatronics band and choir. Note: Animatronics is the use of mechatronics to create machines which seem animate rather than robotic.
I absolutely love the attention to the details used in the design of the park and the show!! Bubbles were released into the air as well to give a magical touch to the place.
Clock tower and its animatronics band. Too much partying in the kitchen!
Waiters trumpeting and chocolate makers singing along with the band
Even animals just as owls, woodpeckers, birds, pigs, dogs, etc in the garden joined in the fun too!... by popping out from their cages.
